I kid you not. GI Joe the real American hero has succumbed to the forces of Globalization in the new movie based on the cartoon and toyline – Fox news and many others report. Well I for one say Paramount can eat my shorts. GI Joe is as American as apple pie.

When did being proud of being a soldier of the United States become so politically incorrect? Paramount is spinning this as a method to increase international marketing and sales. In fact some sites are quoting a spokesman as saying the film will be titled Action Man for foreign release. If you want to make a movie about a global military task force why not call it UN Peacekeepers, or New World Order Mouseketeers? That would be more intellectually honest. Paramount is playing two sides of the same coin, they are trying to make the most of an established franchise, but change it enough to be palatable to anti American audiences domestically and abroad.

Attention Hollywood, not only are you ruining fond memories of my childhood, but you are also indoctrinating my children into your anti American way of thinking. Thank you but no thank you. I for one will be showing my kids Patton, followed by as many John Wayne WWII movies as I can find. I'm tired of my kids being fed this anti American crap constantly, at school, on TV and at the movies.
